Materials for space technology
Bačová, Alena ; Tříska, Václav (referee) ; Petrásek, Miloslav (advisor)
This master´s thesis is dealing with an analysis of materials used for space technology. The thesis is divided into eight main parts. The first part defines space technology. The second part introduces the issue of designing satellites and planning the space mission. The third part describes the effects of the environment on space technology before launch, during launch and flight, in space, and during atmospheric entry. The fourth part introduces the most used standards in Europe for the space industry. The fifth part analyses materials and their application in the space industry. The sixth part provides an overview of aerospace materials tests. The seventh part analyse processes and damage of material during and after the impact of a small object. The last part is devoted to the preliminary design of the device for a more accurate analysis of the behaviour of the material during the impact of a small object.
Overview of the development of small and medium lauchers
Dítě, Radovan ; Petrásek, Miloslav (referee) ; Daněk, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes the development of small and medium vehicle launchers. The dissertation is divided into four main parts. The first part deals with basic principles of rocketry and types of rocket propulsion. The second chapter describes historical develop-ment of rocketry. The third part describes the development of small and medium vehicle launchers. And the last part is dedicated to the description of current states of small vehicle launchers.
An overview of atmospheric carriers for launching satellites into Earth's orbit
Bačová, Alena ; Petrásek, Miloslav (referee) ; Daněk, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is dealing with an overview of aircrafts designed as a launch platform for an air launch of satellite into the low Earth orbit. The thesis is divided into four main parts. The first part describes main principles of reaction engine and its two types of engines. The second part provides an overview of aircrafts as launch platform in the USA. The third part deals with these launch platforms in the former SSSR. The fourth part is devoted to aircrafts as launch platform in the Europe.
Design of dual-chamber pneumatic spring
Pantůček, Michal ; Roupec, Jakub (referee) ; Macháček, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis is engaged in the design of a pneumatic spring which will be useful for a design of a strut intended for cosmic applications. The design will be supported with an analytic calculation which to be subsequently verified by means of experiments, however, those reach beyond the scope of this thesis. The spring will be a part of a strut with adjustable shock damping. For this reason it is desirable for the spring to have the lowest passive resistances occurring mainly during sealing mutually moving parts. For the spring they are the piston, the piston rod and the cylinder. On the theoretical level the thesis should explore the possibility of replacing conventional sealings by unconventional ones and possibly determine the influence upon dynamical behaviour of the spring where the piston would not be sealed at all.
MR Strut of Steward Platform for Vibration and Shock Isolation
Macháček, Ondřej ; Šindelář, Martin (referee) ; Mazůrek, Ivan (advisor)
The thesis deals with design magnetorheological strut of vibration isolation adapter for cosmonautics. For its optimization is necessary to create several virtual models. The dynamic model of the mechanism - the Stewart platform, rheological model for determining the damping force of MR damper and model of the magnetic circuit to guarantee the required intensity in the gap. These models, along with controls models that are primarily concerned with strength calculations, will help with design. Designing using virtual models requires constant monitoring and verification. It is a rather broad topic including eliminate vibration also kinematics, dynamics, hydraulics, pneumatics and last but not least electronics and magnetism. It is necessary to communicate with experts in their field and use their knowledge and experience to create, but also to control of the individual models. The thesis was created in cooperation with Honeywell Aerospace Division (ESA).
Popularization of science in Czech audiovisual media with focus on astronautics
Vopršal, Lukáš ; Jirák, Jan (advisor) ; Halada, Jan (referee)
This thesis deals with the topic of processing and popularization of science, namely the field of cosmonautics within the context of the Czech audiovisual media. The first aim of the thesis is to critically analyze the content of selected episodes broadcasted on a science-popular program within the course of the years of 2021-2022. The second aim is to evaluate the use of popularization elements within the selected episodes through an application of suitable comparative methods. The dissertation is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part of the work, a research was conducted based on Czech and foreign professional literature, with the aim of mapping and describing different approaches to the popularization of science in the media. This has been done by defining the terms science, mass media, scientific journalism and popularization of science within this context. An extensive part of the research is organized in a chronological fashion, encompassing the development and evolution of Czech scientific journalism, with its beginnings in the second half of the 19th century to the present day. This trajectory is analyzed in detail using the examples of two renowned science-popular programs called "Meteor" and "Okna vesmíru dokořán". In the practical part, it has been...

The first people in space according to Czechoslovak media
Panák, Břetislav ; Štaif, Jiří (advisor) ; Lomíček, Jan (referee)
This thesis focused on how propaganda was used in the Czechoslovak media and how that directly relatedd to the first people in space. The aim is an analysis of celebrities of Soviet state system including Yuri Gagarin, Valentina Tereshkova and also John Glenn for comparison. The thesis discusses how these people were promoted and constructed into cult heroes in Eastern, Western and Third World countries. The secondary literature of this subject was not yet analysed and the author wants to use it for further study. The contemporary sources are used in the press - Rude pravo, Mlady svet, Dikobraz, ABC mladych prirodovedcu a techniku and the Ceskoslovensky vojak.
Flight of First Czechoslovak Spaceman Vladimír Remek and its Reflection in Czech Period Newspapers
Švrkala, Marek ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor) ; Cihlářová, Gabriela (referee)
The objective of these bachelor thesis is to describe how the three Czechoslovak contemporary periodicals reported about the flight of first Czechoslovak spaceman Vladimir Remek and if the media did use this event for propaganda of communism regime. Thesis focus on posts about cosmonautics and especially Remek's flight in period which covers one week before start of spaceship Sojuz 28 in March 1978, it also covers course of the flight and return of the ship to the Earth. Analysis continues to triumphal return to Czechoslovakia and First of May celebrations, which delegation of cosmonauts attended. Bachelor thesis find out which image the common Czechoslovak citizen has made with chosen contemporary Czechoslovak press and how much was this image different from objective description which I found in books and in special articles. I suppose that mentioned periodicals have to use cosmonaut's flight for propagandist campaign of communist ideology and cooperation between Czechoslovakia and Soviet Union. I tried to discover which instrument media use to accomplish subjective description of events.
